What's blooming July 14, 2009

I took a few pictures yesterday of blooms around my yard.
Click on the pictures for a super close beautiful view.

Monarda bloom

One of my three Blueberry bushes and lettuce plants. I'm going to pick them today..

They look yummy! They are also high in antioxidants. We just planted them this year. I can't wait till they get bigger.

Coreopsis

My Butterfly Bush. You would never know that I pruned this to less then half it's size few months ago. I love to look at the different species of butterfly's that come and visit.

Up close.. So pretty!

One of the colors of Echinacea. Sicksta Del told me about these and I LOVE them.

Close up.. The gold finches love to eat the seeds from these when they dry up.

Another color of Echinacea

oh la la so very lush and loverly. I love monarda too. We have about 20 differnet kinds at work. I have planted them all but not all survive since they like a bit more water than I can provide.

Good job on the pictures of the flowers. Wow your lettuce is really big! My blueberries are not as blue as yours yet. I think we have less sun on them.
