July 18, 2009 fun and Fireworks in East Lyme

Hanging out at the beach.



Dawn brought some yummy dried Dragon Fruit and Barb found a heart shape in hers.



Walking to Main street to hang out, eat and check out the vendors.






After spending time on Main Street we walked to Crescent Beach to watch the fireworks. They were awesome and we had a great time..

Julianna was quite relaxed and a bit sleepy as she watched the fireworks.




Dawn made some cool glowing jewelry.. She made quite the fashion statement.

The amazing fire pit that the guys offer fire wood to appease the fire pit God's. Our tummy's were grateful at the yummy Smores we had that night..

What's blooming July 14, 2009

I took a few pictures yesterday of blooms around my yard.

Monarda bloom


One of my three Blueberry bushes and lettuce plants. I'm going to pick them today..



They look yummy! They are also high in antioxidants. We just planted them this year. I can't wait till they get bigger.

My Butterfly Bush. You would never know that I pruned this to less then half it's size few months ago. I love to look at the different species of butterfly's that come and visit.

Ferry trip to Long Island July 6, 2009

I had a nice time taking the ferry with my family this past Monday. Our ferry took off around 9 am to Long Island. We shopped a little, had lunch, shopped a little more and then had some ice cream before heading back home. Wish we could have stayed longer. Maybe next time. Thanks for the trip John!

Walk to the Point July 5, 2009

We took a lovely walk to the point after celebrating the fourth at my sicksta Lori's house.. First we walked the path through the woods where we came upon a chicken of the woods mushroom that is edible. Sicksta Dawn was telling us a bit about it and how she prepares it.









Then we hung out and ate our lunch and then relaxed on the beach. I was messing around with the timer and tried to find a good spot to put the camera to get a good shot of all of us..
