Duck we saw on our walk?

Joe and I took a walk on the William Oneil trail on Sunday. We came across this funny little duck or goose in the water just splish splashing around. Anyone know what it's called?

Garden and Pugs June 27, 2009

Joe and I were puttering around in the yard yesterday so I decided to take some pictures. We have not had many sunny days lately. The past few weeks have been mostly drizzly, damp with occasional sunshine. The slugs are in full force. My plants need sun and I don't see a lot in the forecast. Anyhoo.... Here is our back yard late June 2009.

My trip to New York with my highschool buds.

I went to New York with Joanne, one of my best friends in high school. We met up with Carol who was another friend from school that was visiting family in that area and she lives in Florida. We recently got in contact again with her and other friends from back in the day on Facebook. The day in New York went by so fast. We spent most of our time shopping in the whole sale district eating and doing lots of walking which I loved.. We had perfect weather. Not to hot or too cold..

Joanne and I started out on the train ready to meet up with Carol and take a bite out of the Big Apple..

We met up with Carol at Grand Central Station for a bit of breakfast and chit chat..

We walked the streets.

We ate along the way..

Turkey Burger. That sucker was HUGE!

Corned Beef that could have made ten sandwiches.

Chopped liver. It was Yummy and again could have made tons of sandwiches.

We did more walking and found places to rest along the way. There were lots of lawn chairs along the street for passerby's to sit on.. There were sections of different colors of chairs. We found the whole thing pretty cool and took advantage of resting our feet..

Joanne made friend with a New York Yankees rat.. LOL

This was one restaurant we were NOT going to eat at. ha ha

We had a fantabulous time and I took a little video to capture some of our day. I should have taken a food video.. Next time... Hopefully we can do this again. It was sooooo much fun..

Juliana's Birthday June 2009

The family celebrated Juliana's birthday at her grandparents, the Diloretos house. The weather turned out to be nice and it was a great day had by all. I overate chips and sweets as usual. Tara made some mean rice krispy treats that we dug into shortly after cake..

To see more birthday pictures check out my slideshow below and for the full size pictures click on the thumbnail picture below.

My Pugs, yard and garden in early June 2009

I took some pictures yesterday of what my yard looks like in early June. by the end of the month the flowers will be nice and full. We are going to get our pond plants this week.

Ping chillen outside.

The many goofy faces of Zoe

I was given this at one of my dinners I worked at this year by a little boy that I used to watch in daycare.

The blueberry bush frame and netting Joe made to keep the birdies out.

My garden pots and hanging baskets

Joe and I are unhappy with many of the hanging pots and arrangements we buy. The ones we like are so overpriced and the others have flowers that you have to deadhead quite a bit and look sorry before the summer is over. Last year we had great luck with making them ourselves. Hopefully these will fill out and do good as well..

Before planting..
