Memorial Day Bike Ride On The Airline State Park Trail

Memorial Day Joe and I went on a 22 mile bike ride on part of the Airline State Park Trail. The complete trail is 50 miles. It starts in East Hampton Connecticut and ends in Putnam Connecticut. The section we biked was from Colchester to East Hampton then we went back to Colchester and then in the opposite direction. The day was gorgeous and the trail was awesome. It was a pretty level trail but we constantly peddled the whole time and got a great work out. We started about seven miles from the beginning and then came back and went the other direction of the trail. It only took us around a half an hour to drive there by car . We are already planning our next section of the trail to bike on in the next few weeks..

Here is a link about the trail

What is this Sickstas????
I am thinking it might be marigolds but I'm not sure if it's some weed. I have it growing in a few of my flower beds.

Dinner time for the Oriole's and Hummers.

The Orioles and Hummingbirds ate dinner the other night on the feeders and I decided to take some video. This summer Joe and I might be getting a better camera to take with us on our trip to Washington State. We hope to get one with a better zoom and zoom that will work when we are taking video. I love my camera now but you have to pause it to zoom in while videoing.

Mothers Day 2009

I enjoyed celebrating Mother's Day with some of my family members. We ate at Panda Buffet again. It's a good place for a gathering of a large party. Sean was the only one of my sons that could make the dinner. We were missing Christopher and Patrick and some of my siblings. We had a great time and ate lots of food and of course I overate as usual.

Ping, Zoe and Milo.. Two silly pugs.. and one cat

Ping and Zoe are forever glued to me and anyone else when we enter the kitchen. I eat yogurt and my light puddings quite frequently and I always leave the girls a little bit of the residue in the containers to lick when I'm done. It is a delicacy to them. Zoe has been known to split the containers apart at times to get every last drop.. On this day Ping was eating what was left in the yogurt container and Zoe had the pudding one. Milo does what he does best and rubs against you. It's pretty hard to get a picture of him sitting still because he always try's to rub against the camera..

Ping chowing down on her yogurt container. Working that tongue to the bottom.

Video of the crazies.. Notice the noises Zoe makes when she is licking her pudding container.

Pretty things are blooming in my neck of the woods. It makes me very happy for the coming of summer and more flowers.
